20 Portuguese producers, from North to South, will be waiting for your visit, from May 15th to 17th, inside the Wines Unearthed area at the London Wine Fair (Olympia London) to show you what they have to offer.
If you are an importer looking to expand your portfolio or if you’re willing to start this category, Wines Unearthed at the London Wine Fair is definitely an amazing chance to get to know new Portuguese wine producers, taste their selection and make your choice! They are from several iconic regions: Douro, Alentejo, Vinhos Verdes, Bairrada and Dão, but also from maybe lesser-known ones: Tejo, Beira Interior, Lisboa or Setúbal Peninsula.
Portuguese wines' expert Sarah Ahmed, perhaps the most knowledgeable British wine expert on Portuguese wines, will also be hosting a Masterclass on Monday 15th May at 2.30pm.
In a one-hour session, in the walk-up tastings area (first-come, first-seated), The Wine Detective herself will share with us her reflections on the almost 20 years of experience exploring Portuguese wines: classics, new directions - an evolution - broadening of style, quality-base across diverse native grapes and regions. During this session, participants will be able to taste a total of 8 Portuguese wines, from several styles and wine regions, all new to the UK market.
