The pavilion will feature twenty exhibitors showcasing an exquisite array of unique Japanese alcoholic craft drinks. From Japanese sake to shochu, whisky, craft gin, liqueurs, and wine, discover the depth and diversity of Japan’s rich brewing and distilling traditions.
Excitingly, in December 2024, UNESCO enrolled “Traditional knowledge and skills of sake-making with koji mold in Japan” on its Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. This recognition highlights the time-honored techniques and craftsmanship that have been passed down through generations, shaping not only Japan’s sake production but also its broader cultural and social traditions.
In addition to regular tastings, visitors to the Japan Pavilion will also have the exclusive opportunity to sample innovative cocktails crafted using a fusion of Japanese drinks from our esteemed exhibitors. This promises to be an unforgettable tasting experience that allows attendees to savour the intricate flavours and craftsmanship behind each beverage.
Additionally, make sure to attend the Tasting Sessions, held in the Walk-up Tasting Theatre on May 19th at 16:30 and May 20th at 14:30, where you can explore a selection of premium Japanese drinks.
These sessions are first come, first seated so arrive early to avoid disappointment.
